WHY WE STARTED
BUILD HER FITNESS

We set out to create Build Her Fitness as a platform that teaches busy working moms how to build strength amidst the busy of life because we believe in the transformative power of movement.

  • As working moms, we observed a gap in the industry's approach to exercise, one that solely focused on physical transformations without considering the working mom’s schedule and the load she juggles.

    Every woman deserves to be a strong and healthy so they get to show up fully for themselves, their family, and their job.

    Build Her Fitness is rooted in our deep passion for empowering individuals to cultivate a strong and resilient body, mind, and spirit.

    We set out to create Build Her Fitness as a platform that combines physical fitness with routines built around creating a lifestyle that embodies health and fitness that isn’t over-complicated and overtakes life.

OUR MISSION

Build Her Fitness exists to help overwhelmed working women cultivate sustainable habits by creating a strong body and mind—so they can become the strong women their families (and children) deserve. We train women through movement, mindset, and how to adapt to the unpredictability and beautiful journey of motherhood and busy life.

MEET YOUR COACHES

  • Rhoda Hahn

    Boy mom of 3, black coffee lover, and am often asked, “how do you do it all?” I love finding routines that support the busy life and lifting heavy in the gym! I moved into the health wellness space 5 years ago, am NASM Certified as a Personal Trainer, and train part-time at a local gym! Let’s find routines and habits that support the life you’re creating, mama!

  • Jouleen Dering

    I’m Jouleen—a health coach, competitive bodybuilder, and mom of two boys. With over six years of experience, I help busy moms build strength, stay healthy, and feel their best through sustainable nutrition and lifting. For me, it’s not about perfection but making progress and building a positive mindset to reach your goals. Let’s take that next step together!

This is not about pursuing an unrealistic body type or striving for skinny. We are not influenced by comparing ourselves to others. This is about creating Strong Mamas who are RESILIENT and can push through any obstacle.

WE ARE FULLY PRESENT
Our families deserve our FULL selves, not a distracted, chaotic mama who is consistently chasing the day. Strip away the noise and distraction, and hone in on what matters most to create room for MORE in the richness of life.

WE ADAPT MINDFULLY
We have the full awareness to make the choice for what we want in the long term, versus what we may feel in the short term. Adaptability takes root and we can learn to SHIFT, not quit.

WE HONOR OUR BODIES
When macros, movement, and mindfulness are accounted for, motherhood is supported. We are beautiful because of our scars and all we have accomplished. So when our tendency is to just survive, we THRIVE.
